Each week, Edmond Community of Christ Congregation takes church beyond the walls – into the streets of downtown Oklahoma City.

Since 2015, volunteers from the Edmond Congregation of Community of Christ in Oklahoma have gathered every Saturday morning in downtown Oklahoma City to serve people experiencing homelessness and poverty. What began as a few members handing out food and water has grown into a sustained ministry of presence and care.

Each week, they distribute hundreds of items – socks, blankets, coats, hygiene supplies, meals, and water – along with something just as vital: compassion, conversation, and prayer. For nearly a decade, this community has stood alongside Oklahoma City’s most vulnerable residents, embodying the teachings of Jesus and acting as his hands and feet.
